GAA's The Toughest Trade

They are a night out , a few drinks and a chat about a sport they love . Cheltenham is the Olympics of National Hunt Racing .

They probably have moles on all these forum thingys as well, like yer man from Peaky Blinders, throw them a winner once a fortnight :grinning:

Sport

its probably the only vice they can do…no drinking, no parties ,crawling up on some young wan probably expends too much energy for gameday…

Yes. This country is the Brazil of national hunt racing .

You mean horsey racing in Ireland is hopelessly corrupt?

Ireland is hopelessly corrupt boyo .

Why should horse racing differ ??

What’s a hunt race? Is that the one where they chase the hare?

The first ever steeplechase was ran in cork .

Is that the one where they chase the mechanical rabbit?

Charleville to Doneraille was it? Steeple to steeple

The only similarities between Cheltenham and the Olympics is that the majority of the participants are dosed to the gills on drugs. The cunt that came up with that phrase ‘the olympics of horse racing’ must be some arsehole

Dildo ???

‘‘Tis a great saying . It sums up the passion , the expectation , the brilliance , the heartbreak of the greatest week in sport . Ireland stops . It is part of what we are .

Jesus that’s a magnificent post

Olympics is every 4 years. An athlete usuallt competes only 2/3 times and you have to be a world leading athlete to be sucessful.
Cheltenham has about 8 top class races and the remainder is a pile of shite

Buttevant to Doneraile

I thought there is a type qualification for a lot of races in Cheltenham in the form of having to run in certain graded races throughout the year ? …

No it started in Buttevant.
