Often seems that referees in Galway are happy enough to let almost anything go, do their damndest to avoid giving red cards. The ref last Sunday didn’t even book a guy who struck two opponents with the hurley, crazy stuff, and then he allowed him to kick another fella. Have to wonder why there’s such tolerance for things like that in Galway.
What was the ref gonna do? The lad had just got married and wasn’t allowed any drink or riding on the night of his wedding. Would have been pretty tough sending him off in a county final a day and a half later
One of the more bizarre posts I’ve seen on tfk.
Johnny Maher made a huge sacrifice just being there, the least the ref could do was cut him some slack.
A beauty of an avatar KP
Agreed!
Clonlara’s finest will get his chance to tear a hole in Portumna’s defense on Sunday.

Kinvara’s Passion
Anything to report?

Not really. I was helping the vet stitch up a cow when Kinvara were hitting the field in Loughrea.
We lost heavily enough but Canning was the difference by the sounds of it. I have no idea how ye’re lad went.
Castlegar bet sarsfields by around 10 points.
Gerrard Farragher scored 3 sideline’s along the way…

Listened to this on Galway Bay FM. Sounds like McIntyre has got Castle playing some nice hurling. They had some second half.
Ya they were 6/7 behind at half time.
