I see Ballinasloe got hammered by 19 points by Athenry down in junior. Gone to the dogs altogether there. Not even competitive down in junior.
Disappointing for a town of itâs tradition, history and size. Also rans at Junior B in hurling too.
Not to disparage any club but youâd wonder what effort they are putting in at all. Not really that difficult to be at least competitive. With even a little bit of organisation.
Not like itâs a club that have never won anything either. They actually have a history and tradition of winning county titles.
It was St. Grellans GFC and BHC. Then it became one. Donât think itâs working at committee level at all.
Sad to see. Someone needs to go in there and rip it all down and build it up again.

Mountbellew are the real deal. That refereeing performance last winter might well have done them out of an All-Ireland. Themselves, Moycullen and Corofin are by a distance a stronger trio than can be found in any other county championship.

Pity we couldnât have gotten a fraction more out of him against Kerry. Kellyâs hard running had the potential to create space for Finnerty and Comer.
