Galway - quadruple travails part 2

Thatā€™s what the Limerick lads were saying about Hego before he turned into Conan the Barbarian. Give him a shot again, better than Conor Cooney or Flynn.

If Loftus turns into a Hego type, Iā€™ll eat my hat.

He needs some of the shots hego got

Rum?

It certainly is.

Some lad slated Skehill and Skehill ran over to tell him to ā€œfuck off back home you Mullagh cuntā€. Magic

Whelan showed up in the parish yesterday but weā€™re still struggling to beat Sylane here. Extra time and Sylane pulling awayā€¦

Where was he all along? Not a good clubman?

He was another casualty of the split season.

I love Kenny Park, the Duggan would be next and Tuam then in my rankings. Great feels off them on a match day.

What position is Loftus at intercounty level? Heā€™s clearly very talented but doesnā€™t seem to have a fixed role.

Heā€™s certainly not a traditional corner-back, which heā€™s been played in a bit. Seems a bit lightweight for midfield, doesnā€™t appear to enjoy getting in and winning dirty ball.

I presume heā€™s a forward for Turloughmore? Would he do a job inside, does he have the pace?

He lost out imo during the Oā€™Niell tenure.

Loftus thrives as a sweeper. Nice handy loose play. If youā€™re expecting him to grab a game by the scruff, he wonā€™t. Heā€™s not up to it at intercounty level.

Doesnā€™t have the necessary schteel.

Hon Town.

I believe Turlough have been playing him at centre forward this year. Nominally at least. Seems to be floating around the field which probably suits him. Always been a talented stickman but the sense is out there that he can go missing in a battle. Hard to shake that. Heā€™s been tearing up the championship but no great clamour to get him back involved with Galway. Not yet anyway.
