Did not see St Thomas’ defeat or the Cashel/Bridge draw coming.

Great win for Sylane in the Intermediate. Kilbeacanty at a low ebb.

Moycullen were blessed to beat Killimor in the intermediate final last year. Thought they would struggle up at senior but they’ve been flying it.

Yes I heard they took the foot off the gas. Wouldn’t be a fan of same. Can be difficult to turn it back on when the push comes in other games

Craughwell really missed out in 2015. It seemed like the peak of the team with tNiall Healy and other teams around them weak enough. Similar feeling with Cappy in recent years when they lost by a point to Mellows who went on to win it out when the rest were up to tap all.

I’d probably have them narrowly behind the bridge but I think we’ll have a cracking knockout with a few shocks. I wouldn’t read too much into Toms-Mellows result but I’d say that Ballyhale smash and grab defeat last year will be a turning point for a more open county championship.

You don’t tear up east galway teams in the championship without plenty of steel. I hate that talk. Lotus is a hardy bastard for sure. Some lads just need to feel settled. Anyhow KH will be on top of the situation I have no doubt.
