Oughterard would hardly have the population?
Moycullen is basically a very large suburb now with no competition. RHN are squashed between salthill knacknacarra moving west, and moycullen, and planning laws keeping housing density low.
They should open up drum cross as a residential area and let wegians in, then youād have hurling soccer and rubby clubs on three corners of the cross roads and itād be a sporting Mecca
Heās as windy as Pearce Stadium during a category 5 storm.
Loftus may have the capability to hurt teams when the hurling is nice and loose, when he has acres of space and time to pick off scores. Intercounty is a different level entirely, but letās be fair to the lad and hold judgment. If heās as hardy and as good at tearing up teams as you make out, his name may yet be up in lights come the business end of the county championship. Thatāll be the first marker that heās ready to step up. If he goes missing, then draw a line under him and move on.
Lads who never did fuck all calling a lad whoās the best player on a good club team windy is ridiculous stuff
Turlough won fuck all since the helmet became an option and even at that we know what happened Eanna Ryan.
You can be a fantastic club man, a decent standard intercounty player but be blighted by not being able for the physicality of intercounty all in one go.
Loftus is fantastic for Turlough but heās like Barry McHugh in the football. A lad that youād need 14 players covering for their limitations at intercounty to get value out of. We canāt have the likes of Cathal Mannion and Josie Cooney on the pitch at the same time as a Loftus type because hurlings advanced so much. You need to be a Barry Nash sort that can do it all and isnāt missing for 20-30 minute spells.
Iām long enough going to club games and intercounty games watching Loftus to know what he is and isnāt capable of. The Limericks and KKs also know this, and they would know exactly how to handle him.
Portumna making a comeback?
Two subs would suggest thereās work to be done still
Great to see an u20 final played in Sept.
For too long the u21 cāship was the hind tit and let run and run. Thereās lads with u21 medals they won at 22 and a half.
U20 at club level is just plain wrong.
Iāll repeat -
Great to see an u20 final played in Sept.
For too long the u21 cāship was the hind tit and let run and run. Thereās lads with u21 medals they won at 22 and a half.
@endakenny I think itās a bonus to get this competition in. What do you see wrong with it?
I saw Galway GAA put the highlights on twitter there, someone mentioned it on here the last few days but great to see these competitions being played when pitches are in good shape. Sean Walsh seemed to list subs for Sarsfield up to no.35 which is some amount of lads togged for a rural club at u20, have New Inn and Bullaun become a commuter base or something? No mention of a McGrath or Cooney in any of the commentary either but Alex Connaire was prominent.
Bullaun 3/5 mins from Plaza.
Bullaun is known as B4. Townies with notions.
Maybe in bullaun it is.
B4 is the road in to Bullaun from Loughrea. The tiger saw all the new money move out away from the scruff. All trying to outdo each other. Iād say the locals will soon be sending their kids in to Loughrea such is the number of townies being educated there. Locals be seething with all the blow ins.
