Galway - quadruple travails part 2

What club in Galway is with?

He’s fairly defensive throughout. Touch of the latter day Martin O Neill about him.
He’s fairly stroppy
Maybe that’s what we need.
He uses “world class” fairly liberally.

This was all too predictable.

An absolutely terrible game of football. Zero intensity from Galway today. Standing miles off the Monaghan lads. Even if they get through today I can’t see them raising a gallop again next weekend.

Walsh off injured now. O’Conghaile on.

Is Tuam Stadium back in operation yet? This is as abysmal a spectacle as you will see in championship football, at least Tuam might have provided better conditions.

You’d think they’d power-wash the slime off the front of the stand at least, it’s the most depressing looking ground in the country.

Fuck me that was depressing stuff. We are miles off it. This looks like a textbook Galway exit from a championship. Hope I’m wrong.

Look like a team that badly needed that week off. Instead they are out again this weekend. Looking like crap and picking up more injuries.

Exactly. If we had ducks, they’d drown. Just always seem to find a way of making a fuck of things.

Sean Kelly is miles off his best. Hasn’t got his form back yet after his injury.

Oooohh big let off for Galway there.

The square crossbar made a difference

McDaid has come into it a bit. Driving forward and winning a few frees.

The bit of luck just might be with us today

Remarkable sequence of play where Galway passed it to a man under serious pressure 4 times in a row. They somehow managed to win all of them but it was a bit unnecessary

Good old basketball screen there to put Comer into space.

Fuck all happened him only he got shcreeened

Monaghan have given up

Galway should take Comer off again. Wrap him in cotton wool. He’s vital

Terrible game. Galway much better in the 2nd half to be fair. Got control of the game. Had that Monaghan shot gone into the net rather than off the crossbar it would have been interesting right enough.

Have to fear that Galway are goosed for the quarter final though. Another game in the legs and can’t see Walsh being available with only a week between games.
