Galway - quadruple travails part 2

Read the article mate and still think too many group games in Galway of zero consequence. Preliminary quarter finals for example are total bull. Clubs should just admit they are not good enough for senior but are too proud to degrade.

I was referring to the perceived success in it but I have to say I am in agreement with what you said here.

Do Moycullen have many dual players?

An incredible Senior B play off!
Full Time: Moycullen 2-23 Liam Mellows 5-13

Some run by Moycullen. Unsure about the cross over of dual lads besides Mark Lydon, does he still feature?
Just wondering if this run puts added pressure on Killimor or is it inspirational?

I think McDonagh and maybe Lydon are the only dualers. There’s also a Killanin lad playing for the hurlers which is a rarity.

Isn’t it amazing what a good coach can get from a group of players with work ethic, honesty of effort, energy, attitude and passion?

Especially from such a shallow gene pool.

Any word on how young Fleming is doing up in Beaumont?

Beyond? Once you’re at the hill, more like.

Haven’t heard. Hope that’s a good sign.

So a competition that could be finished pre Christmas should be dragged out an extra 8 weeks until mid February making players train over Christmas and in awful weather in January? Makes no sense to me.

It cannot be finished pre-Christmas. They’ve tried their best this year and it can’t be done.

Better to give everyone a week or two off over Christmas and then have that magical fortnight in early January where Clubs, Counties and Colleges play off in a series of BOX OFFICE challenge games under lights, midweek.

Yes it can easily without 5 and 6 group games in county’s when 3 group games are easily enough. By October 24 all county championships should easily be finished. Hurling all ireland club should easily be finished in calender year.

Challenge games? You are definetely on a wind up mate.

Me neither. Should be finished as you say. May mean a one week break between 32 and 16 rounds for footballers but I thought Dec 18 a great date to finish.

You can’t finish it with dual clubs to be catered for. Slaughtneil being the most pre-eminent.

What happens if St. Finnbarr’s do the double in Cork?

You can’t be just making things up if one club goes on a run.

The clubs could have a dance off
