Galway - quadruple travails part 2

Salthill doing just enough here

Brilliant goal for Salthill by Cathal Sweeney. I think he will be starting for Galway next year especially given Kieran Molloy’s injury.

Tomo Culhane has kicked 3 long range dingers. Comer with 3 of his own.

Eoghan Kerin very good in defence for Annaghdown. Definitely worth another look by Galway.

Big peno call on Comer not given and Finnerty then goes up the other end to get the insurance point for Salthill

That was a definite foul on Comer there I think. That should be an Annaghdown penalty. Would like to see that again. I actually thought I heard a whistle.

Annaghdown took that fairly well all told. They arguably could and maybe should have had two penalties in the closing minutes there from high balls into Comer.

Can anyone stop John O Mahoney?
Answer no

Two possible pen shouts on comer in the last few mins. First one looked more likely to me but I’d like to see them again. Salthill just a bit slicker overall but 6pt margin flattered them.

Moycullen a huge price against MM at 7/4 imo.

It will be a Moycullen Salthill Final. A victory for the chic city and its sophisticated satellite areas

GOAL Moycullen

Moycullen goal right on half time. Mountbellew keeper came out and tried to chip the stray ball up into his hands and made a complete bags of it. Moycullen win it and the goal was left unguarded.

HT Moycullen 1-6 Mountbellew 0-4

Mountbellew the designated team to go into dressing room 2nd at the half but ignore this and go in throwing punches in the tunnel

Sean Kelly goal. Mountbellew going out unless they produce a small miracle here.

GOALLLLLLL Moycullen
Stick a fork in this one

Mountbellew very subdued today. Seem to have lost form at the wrong time after looking so good for much of the campaign.
