Galway - quadruple travails part 2

Half the fun of being a fan is ruthlessly writing off a young lad and then them mugging you off by playing a big role in winning an All Ireland years later like me with Josie Cooney.

Wexford were piss poor.

The Carkies will destroy us next week

I remember in Thurles last year we won by a point and still lost to Cork. That’s how good they are.

Their Carkness alone will destroy our young fellas.

This was unfortunately proven right. He made no more impact than Eoin Finnerty.

Talk of Comer out with ACL. That’s an absolute disaster.

The dreaded ACL seems to be back with a bang. No doubt the fault of the split season

Ffs :pensive:

Would be the end of Galway’s chances this year. In terms of competing for Sam anyway. Terrible luck in fairness to be down 3 players from the team that started last year’s All-Ireland final team. Before a ball has even been kicked in the championship. They needed to add 2 or 3 new players to what they had. Instead they have lost them.

Game over, ball burst. Comer, finnerty, silke & molloy gone and only two rounds of the league played.

This fucking split season.

Conor Whelan will be the perfect Comer replacement.

South Galway’s contribution to county teams always leaned towards the big ball.

Barry O’Hagan from Down done his ACL Saturday as well which more or less kills any hope Down had of doing anything substantial this year.

Ciaran Byrne from Louth did also. Pretty sure I heard of someone else too.

EDIT Kieran Molloy of course.

And Conor Sweeney

I blame the left wing hedge funds
