Galway will look to utterly blow Clare out of it early on today you would think. Clare need to weather the storm a bit better than last week and be in touching distance with 20 to go. Hard to see Galway having the energy levels down the stretch given the amount of serious knocks lads will be carrying and a relatively unproven bench.
Galvin, Fitz, Shanagher and McCarthy adding hard running and dynamism off the bench could well be the difference again if we can live with Galway’s early onslaught.
I’d assume that we won’t start with Galvin sweeping again and will use it as a plan b if necessary. David Mc is needed to give a much better performance today, his form has been patchy at best so far this year.
