I have no idea how weâll keep it pucked out to them. Maybe Tony Og can take the pressure off James by taking every second puck out.
Galway had Kilkenny bet after about 20 mins the last day. Kilkenny will probably keep it interesting until about 10 mins into the second half this time around but the tribesmen should pull away after that.
Galway 3/1 with Paddy Power. Fill your boots
At 3/1 I think Galway are serious value⌠Tipp were so poor that wasnt much of a challenge for KK, Michael Duignan was right there wasnt a single Tipp player that got the better of their direct opponent. In many cases that wasnt a reflection on how well the KK player played either, the majority of Tipp players werent up for the battle and they were a rabble in truth long before the end. People will worry about the likes OâRegan at centre back but I cant see TJ Reid having the same impact two games in a row at this stage of the season. Fennelly is obviously carrying an injury which should help Tannian. Smith up against Buckey, wouldnt be a surprise to see the Portumna man win that duel⌠Eoin Larkin only started playing well yesterday when the game was won and that was against a lad who couldnt run. Hynes wont give him space that handy anyway. Are the likes of Power, Shefflin, Walsh and Fennelly really going that well?
I think Galway will compete physically anyway and they have a better manager who wont have his best players trying to hit KK players. Key I reckon is if the two Burkes go well up front. They are the kind of pacy direct players that should cause the likes of Brian Hogan and even Tommy Walsh problems. If those 2 in particular could start well it would be a huge boost for Galway. KK are still very weak on the bench and have an aging side that were hammered not too long ago. If Galway concentrate on playing to their strengths they have a huge chance.
 TJ had a massive impact against Limerick in Kilkennyâs last match
Give it a few weeks, and the poor fuckers will wish it never did happenâŚ

Take a holiday mate. Clear the head.
 You were actually going quite well until the whole âGalway have a better managerâ incident KIB Man.
I think he meant better manager than TippâŚ

Appendage
Cyril Donnellan will be back as well, he was sorely missed against Cork. Weâll need the likes of Tannion, Niall Burke and Regan take a leaf out of his book this year and improve their accuracy. Your right about management, Cunningham is on a different stratosphere to Declan Ryan. Heâll have a plan set for countless seperate scenarios that may unfold as the game develops.
Im still not convinced about Tommy Walsh or Shefflin and I believe neither is playing at the level they were years before.Eoin Larkin clearly isnât.Up front Kilkenny are relying on performances from bit part players down the years like Taggy Fogarty and TJ Reid, theyâll need more against Galway where Fergal Moore is playing he hurling of his life ably backed up by young hurler of the year elect, Johnny Coen along with Niall Donoghue and Davy Collins. Regan and Hynes will hold their positions and Skehill seem to be going the opposite way in terms of howlers to David Herrity.
The days big battle will be Joe v JJ. Whoever wins this will go a long way to deciding who lifts the trophy. Joe burned JJ in Tullamore 3 years ago(famous for his âYou canât see meâ celebration) and is fitter and stronger now. Heâs also likely to do serious damage from out the field where JJ wonât follow.
Despite their destruction of Tipp there are weaknessâs in this Kilkenney team which Galway will be eager to exploit. Unlike KK they are arriving at the final without all the razzmataz of a huge semi Final win and even at their peak the Cats never put two bombastic performances like yesterdays in a row. Itâs already been a great year and thereâs still plenty of reasons to be optimistic heading into September
I see Cody favourite Barry Kelly got the gig.
quelle surprise
Guilt on the part of whoever appoints the ref after yesterday.
Those bit part players are better than most first choices on most teams Laz. Except for Galway obviously.
I couldnât have put it better Laz.
I cant see any reason why we cant win this. The bookies got it wrong for the Leinster final and they could well be wrong again.
Backed Galway in Leinster final, wonât touch them here. Galway lads should lie low, you donât have the experience to beat this kk team this year in an AI final , but galways time approaches for sure
Good point, but with Clare and Limerick on the up they may not get to another AI for a long time.
5 of the Galway side would push for inclusion on a kk 15, skehill, donoghue, canning, d Burke and possibly Moore on his current form. Only 1 would certainly start. Thatâs the reality. The other reality is that this in an AI final, this kk team will perform, they always do, and itâs galways first. It wonât happen
