Just as well fat paul murphy was marking him for his 1-05 in last yearâs All Ireland final bud.
Heâs not - donât be listening to these apes playing the poor mouth⌠Tipp lads, except @Brimmer_Bradley, are going up fully expecting a win.

A fucking great day. I remember it like it was yesterday.
Doubtful Joe. Also injury concerns over Ronan Maher, Bonner Maher, Seamie, and John McGrath

I think that risk is overstated. The benefit of the qualifier route is that you have more games to hit your stride, so itâs probable that Tipp will take it up a level from the Clare game. But thereâs a chasm between what Galway have shown this year and what Tipp have. Galway will have so much possession that only a meltdown in front of the posts will beat them.
Tipperary hit 27 scores against Cork, 32 against Dublin and 28 against Clare. Those are very similar amounts of scores to what Galway have notched against poorer opposition so far.Galway had valley periods of 15 minutes each in the first half against both Dublin and Wexford where the opposition were comfortably on top in the play.
Youâll get away with that against Dublin because theyâre shit and against Wexford because they donât score goals.
Tipperary generally do score goals, more than Galway score. If Tipperary were to have a 15 minute period of dominance in the first half and bang in two goals, which they could easily do, Galway might find it a lot more difficult to recover than they did against Dublin and Wexford.
But if Tipperary arenât more than 1 or 2 points ahead by the 50 minute mark, Galway will probably wear them down physically in the last 20 minutes.
Galway could win by 10 plus because up to now Tipperary havenât been up for a battle in the same way they were last year, however it would be foolish to make the assumption that that will be the case again, although it might well be.
But the last time Tipperary came through the back door, in 2014, they only kicked into gear at the semi-final stage, having been pretty unimpressive up to that. It was a similar-ish story in 2010.

If little Colm Galvin could boss Maher and Breen then David Burke will make shit of them.
Colm Galvin and Jamie Barron are probably the two best midfielders in the game and both are small.1 ReplyReply
So, to sum up, galway might win, tip might win, and the last bit is wrong.

Youâre just lucky that I spend 25 hours a day on here and saw this.
I feel that this is a much more unpredictable clash than the previous two years as there are genuine doubts over how:
i) Galway will deal with the five week break (Tipperary have had two matches in the four weeks preceding the game)
and ii) whether Tipperary will get to anywhere near the level of 2016.
If i) bears out but ii) doesnât, Tipperary win.
If ii) bears out and i) doesnât, Galway win at a canter.
If i) and ii) both bear out or both donât bear out, itâs a toss up with a perhaps a marginal advantage to Galway.
So I feel the possible result could be anywhere between Galway +15 and Tipperary +5, as opposed to in the other semi-final, in which I would be surprised to see a result of more than 3-4 points either way.
Overall I feel Galway have a better chance of overcoming i) than Tipperary do of overcoming ii) and I feel Galway will win by 6-8 points.
Hopefully Tipperary will be steeled to deal with Galwayâs giants (unlike the league final) and are able to get into that beautiful rhythm of theirs. Hurling truly is the riverdance of sport when theyâre popping the ball around up front. Fantastic movement, wonderful vision, deft touch, amazing skills and clinical finishing.
