Galway

Getting rid I’d say, it’s been dying a slow painful death for years.

Will there be white water rafting?

Galway Council have an exemplary record of delivering flagship projects on time, under budget and with no cronyism whatsoever over the years, so I think we can all feel assured that something special awaits us here.

Overground carparks are to go under Salthill Park. What could go wrong with an underground carpark at Salthill seafront I wonder?

Salthill is a scandalously neglected village. Most of the buildings are close to derelict or an eyesore. There’s the prom and the diving board and that’s pretty much it. It’s capable of being much nicer.

It’s a cheap way of building a scuba diving practice facility.

Galway, the Moscow of the west, the Chicago of the east. I can see the sign now.

From Eyre Square to Red Square

A nice cycle I might try sometime.

Plenty a night was put down there in bygone years

Which is further north, Galway or Moscow

That’s only about 20 yards, to be fair.

Moscow would be my guess

Yeah but only by two degrees or so

By God

Random pointless fact: Galway is closer to Istanbul than Lisbon is.

That’s our World Class Waterfront in the top photo.

The Under Water Quarter.

Galway could be the place to be.

We need to develop a fast rail between Cork-Limerick-Galway… Japanese style fast. You’d never go near the east of the country again if we did. The Western corridor would make Ireland a super power.

So no more parking on the prom?
Mental decision tbh if true given the exponential increase in swimming numbers.
Edit, I see there’s still parking on the leisureland side.
