Are you far into career mode? I was reading up on it last night, pretty much said you need to play a shit load of games in career mode to get the player to any kind of level that he can make simple shots consistently.
Best advice I saw was set the quarter length to like 2 minutes and just blitz through like 15 to 20 games and just accumulate VC points.
NBA Jam 93 is still the greatest basketball game of all.

I’m about 6 games into my first season but playing far more REC games to boost the levels. Mainly getting points from defending because I can’t shoot worth a fuck.
No not very far. Yeah my stats are shocking. Averaging about two points a game.
