General Election 2011

Early RTE tallies:

No second seat in Dub North Central for FG.

Dub South East looks like 2 FG and 2 Lab

Heffernan in with a shout in Limerick.

And one from TFK sources: Sargent not going great in Dub North. Early tallies aren’t as useful for people fighting for the last seat though.

He’ll coast home I’d say. My tallies were Greens only.

TĂĄiniste is under severe pressure. Paul Gogarty has waved the White flag and Mick Wallace is polling strongly I hear.

Ross is sure of a seat I would have thought.
FG have two in dun laoghaire. could be two fg and two labour.

Boyd Barrett will likely get in in Dun Laoghaire. And FF will hope for 1 also.

yeah Wallace has a feed from RTE twitte saying he is polling at 15% which would be pretty good for him, close to getting in on first count with that.

Not so sure.

Pringle doing well in Donegal South West. Good to see from a monetary and political viewpoint. Republican socialists doing very well north of Dublin.

11:29: Latest tallies in Donegal South West: Pearse Doherty (SF) 8,433, Dinny McGinley (5,657), Thomas Pringle (5,191), Mary Coughlan (3,844) Brian O’Domhnaill (3,341). So far in per centage terms that’s Doherty on 29%, McGinley on 19%, Pringle on 18%, Coughlan on 13% and O’Domhnaill on 11%. Looks like the two candidate strategy for Fianna Fail might backfire. The Pringle/Coughlan story could be making national headlines in the wee small hours. These figures are based on tallies and not official figures, so an element of caution needed.

No FF in Dun Laoghaire but Lenihan will get in.
Latest figures from Wicklow.Updated regularly.Come on Donnelly.

Boyd Barrett v Bacik for the last seat in Dun Laoghaire. Gutted for Nick Crawford. :frowning:

This isn’t looking good for Green hopes at all.

Sargent and Ryan both with outside chances probably but not much hope for them.

Here’s Dublin South East:

Dublin North East:

85% boxes open. Broughan 24.9% Flanagan 27% O’Toole 13% Kenny 10.9% Power 11%

O’Toole not home and dry yet for the third seat. Depends on what happens to Flanagan’s transfers.

I think Kenny will get in ahead of O’Toole in Dublin North East. Also expect 4 in Dublin North to be Daly, Ryan, Reilly and Farrell.

Mary Coughlan may be fucked

That looks likely enough for Dub NE alright Larry. That would be a bit of a shame. I’ve a bit of time for Broughan so happy to see him going well but O’Toole is a genuine leftwing voice and would be great to see him ahead of Kenny.

Final North East tally:

100% COMPLETE. Broughan 24% Flanagan 29% O’Toole 12% Kenny 10% Power 11% Total Ballots 41321 Spoils 293 Quota 10331 Approx.

Will be very tight for the last seat. Depends on how many transfers O’Toole can pick up. He has one on the way from me when Healy gets eliminated anyway.

Dublin South Central going nicely left.

Labour 2 FG 1 SF 1 ULA 1

Dublin North Central:

Bruton FG 25% ORiordan Lab 23% McGrath Ind 15%, Sean Haughey 13% to lose seat.

Wexford are having a rebellion down there, Mick Wallace is gone off to watch Wexford Youths play while he’s flying it in the poles.

70% turn out all told apparently, pretty good, though it was always going to be high for this election, surprised its not higher TBH.
