Looks like Labour will return 2 TDs in Dublin south east, if you said that 5 years ago youā€™d have been laughed at. Incumbant FFer looks fucked as heā€™s getting no transfers.

John Gormley has been eliminated. That should please the coursing heads on here.

ā€œPaddy likes to know what the story isā€

Fucking hell. George Bush, Irish style.

It is a stupid design anyway.

Good to see no FF in Dublin North. Pity the influx of boggers like Mullach ƍde to the area meant Sargent had to lose out.

Dub NE still very tight.

3RD COUNT Blaney 1,913 Eastwood 2,672 Greene 897 Guerin 1,447 Healy 934 Kenny 4,885 Oā€™Toole 5,143 Power 5,036 Sexton 397

Kenny is marginal favourite but by no means home and dry. Very interesting to see where Blaneyā€™s transfers go. FF connection obviously but itā€™s an anti-FF connection at this stage. Still think he might transfer to Power a bit.

Yea really didnā€™t want him returned myself, he is only there on the back of his name.

Sexton and Eastwood eliminated and standings are now:

4TH COUNT Blaney 2,099 Greene 935 Guerin 1,572 Healy 987 Kenny 4,985 Oā€™Toole 5,178 Power 5,109

Greene next to go. Heā€™ll presumably give nothing to Power anyway. Imperative she goes out first of the three big guns left.

I strongly dislike Leo Varadkar.

Power could tale this seat yet.

Iā€™d just like to add my own disgust with Niall Collins being re-elected.

I just read there that Ming has been elected. That man has come a long long way to get where he is now.

Wicklow count will resume at 10 in the morning.

What a pack of cunts they are

Fao Rocko/larry - does this now mean that Adams will lead the Sinn Fein parliamentary party?

Most likely yes.

How has forum favourite Mattie McGrath fared today?

They havenā€™t decided yet apparently. Iā€™d imagine he will because thereā€™s a chance of getting the front bench seat as leader of the opposition and shunting MicheĆ”l Martin to a secondary position if he can get leftwing backing. Unlikely though.

Got in I think.Got a figure on turnout overall wtb?

I believe he was elected. He was well supported outside his constituency anyway by the sounds of it. :stuck_out_tongue:

No there isnā€™t.Rules were changed which meant groupings only worked for speaking rights (as opposed to party sizes) and they cannot join up with left wingers to form bigger opposition group. Bertie changed the rule when there was a danger that SF and Lefties would overtake Labour few years back in return to them agreeing he didnā€™t have to come in on Thursdays.
