Great man for the phone canvassing apparently.
70%-75% 3/1.Also had larger stake on 72% plus so only come out with marginal win on turnout.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking about. It’s bizarre to think that Adams will now be a major part of Dail debates. Historic really.
Haven’t looked for one but I’d say we’re close enough. There’s been a few very high ones to balance the 67/68s.
cant stand that insufferable bore matthews
he reminds me of locke
Nobody has reached the quota yet in clare, very tight but it looks as though dooley is gone or as good as gone and that there will be no FF representation in the County…2 FG, 1 Labour and the last seat between Mulcahy if FG and Breen the Ind
SF will be the biggest party in the north & possible the main opposition party
Surely Dooley will pick up transfers from Hillery? Should take him ahead of Mulcahy if not Breen?
2011 has been the year of your vindication, TASE…SRFC, Celtic and SF all going from strength to strength, gola and the likes must be sickened
Here is the data, not sure whether it includes Hillary transfers or not…
Amazed to see independent Cllr Catherine Connolly is in with a big shout in Galway. Bookies had her way out. Seems an alright sort and very much a friend of the ipsc.
What got me about him was the little kiss my arse tiny FF logo on his posters and car. He would be nothing without FF andhe was ashamed to show it.
Current count is distributing Hillerys votes. Will be interesting to see whether they go along party lines or geographical basis. McNamara looks home and hosed at this atage. Good performance from him.
Its official. John O’Donoghue has been eliminated and will have to return to his tax payer funded luxury home tonight with his tail between his legs.
Great stuff from Ming. Delighted to see him there.
Roscommon, the Amsterdam of Ireland.
Delighted as I am with the FF wipeout, the huge support for FG is deeply worrying. FG were as complicit as FF at local level in this mess. When history looks back on the cronyism and corruption that resulted in the economic crisis the parts played by local government will be highlighted. The planning process was central to everything that went wrong and FG were happy to facilitate this in local government across the country and where they’re happy to “rotate” power with FF in sickening agreements.
Illustration of the shift from green to blue in first preference votes from screenshots taken from RTÉ website:
Getting rid of FF is positive. Getting that much FG instead is hugely troubling at best.
2339 Kerry South: John O’Donoghue has lost his seat, going out in the third count.
Particulary happy to see this cunt gone
Could you ever have imagined rural Ireland electing someone like him? Unreal. I hold the people of Leitrim and Roscommon in much higher regard after today.
