Collins has asked for his supporters to give nothing to O’Brien. There is deep hatred there. I heard canvassers from both sides clashed a good few times over the last few weeks. Getting physical at times.

Enda has ruined your party mate. No need to lash out at the rest of us.

Is it possible that FG will hold two in Limerick city too?

Again, SF in the mix but where do they get transfers from?

@myboyblue must be seething at the beating his hero is taking.

Re Limerick City

O’Dea is in, Quinlivan will get in too. Noonan will hold on and the last seat is a dog fight between O’Donnell, Jan and Prendeville (AAA). Unlikely O’Donnell will get in I reckon.

The left and the enlightened

Not in the least mate. This is wonderful fun all in all.

The tally I saw had:

O’Dea 28%
Noonan 15.5%
O’Donnell 13.2%
Quinlavan 12.5%
O’Sullivan 11.27%

So it would seem it’s all in the mix for the third seat. Where will O’Dea’s surplus go and what about other transfers?

Well he has asked for his surplus to go to Jan.

I forgot that. Could she overtake O’Donnell and Quinlivan?

Despite that, I could see a good portion of his working class surplus going the way of Quinlivan, much to his disgust. A sizeable portion of his vote doesn’t generally transfer either - some Willie voters go Willie no. 1 and that’s it. PR my hole for that crowd.

Lad in cork interviewed by rte outside the polling station. He was asked why he switched from labour whom he voted for in the last election. " They harmed the people they promised to help". Sums them up nicely.

13:05 O’Donnell supporter says transfers will benefit him
COUNCILLOR Michael Sheahan, who has been analysing Willie O’Dea’s transfers across the county, said he believes Kieran O’Donnell is still 1,000 votes ahead of Education Minister Jan O’Sullivan."For Jan to get over the line, she needs transfers from the likes of Nora Bennis, James Gaffney, Desmond Hayes and Sarah-Jane Hennelly. From what I have seen, on Willie O’Dea’s transfers, Jan was only coming in third."Cllr Sheahan will now switch his efforts to analysing Social Democrat Sarah-Jane Hennelly’s transfers.“If Jan cannot close there, she is not going to be able to close on Kieran and you will have two Fine Gael candidates maybe scraping in, which would be a miracle,” he said.

Billy Kelleher on about 26% in Cork North Central, another constituency where they could have run a second candidate.

FF must be pinching themselves on this performance.

Niall Colin’s will be the first td to return to the dail.
