FF getting that big poll lead might not necessarily have been a good thing for them. Gave everybody three weeks to contemplate the prospect of the gormless yahoos being back in power. I despise FG but I’ve always felt there’s some sort of small public service responsibility ethic at play with them compared to FF in that at least they sort of believe in something and Varadkar has done a reasonable job of driving that home here. FF don’t.
