I think so. They would need to drastically change their position on housing to even come close. Leo has been making positive noises about the Greens of late but I can’t see that happening unless there is a transformation in FG (or a capitulation from the Greens). But that all assumes the election throws up an expected result. The Greens were all set for a bigger slice of everything before that 2007 election and didn’t get the gains they expected.
It would be very funny is FF and the Greens go into government just before the economy crashes again. 10 years spent slowly rebuilding their parties just for them to get annihalated again.
I think Malcolm Noonan has a strong chance of taking the Sinn Fein seat here. It was a safe Labour seat for years but depended on the massive Pattison personal vote.
I don’t think Kathleen Funchion has done enough to hold it and Malcolm will attract more transfers
