Labour have been useless since the formation of the state mate. There was no industrial base in Ireland after partition, not much of a union movement, so there’s never been support for left wing politics like the UK for example. Effectively Labour ceded the working class vote and small farmer vote to FF.
The majority of voters will vote for a party that can form a government, and after all these decades that’s still FF and FG.
There’s nothing worse than middle class lads whining about the plight of the working class.

Capitalism needs a middle class with money to buy stuff. It’s why communism failed. It’s why the average joe has a lifestyle now that Kings one hundred and fifty years ago could only have dreamed of. Capitalism.
