Because amongst young republicans they’re replacing the role FF used to play so he has to keep them toxic for as long as possible. They’re an existential threat to him. Also just he has a lot of older voters who are still focused on the troubles.
It’s only @myboyblue and the rest of the electorate of Laois/Offaly that have the opportunity to vote for Charlie Flanagan.

Louise O’Reilly easily came out of last night’s debate head and shoulders above the rest. Donnelly made a fucking show of himself while Harris went down the meek / humble route - which just made him look weak.
