I find it very hard to see SF not winning more seats.
I think they will make marginal gains. They will bag the five or six additional seats based off the surpluses their big guns had the last time and one or two of the tight seats they lost out on but I think they could well lose three or four of the new TDs they got elected like Wynne in Clare.
Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo now telling the Greens how to vote.
Sinn Fein will take seats off the other lefties and have the exact same issues as they have now in forming a government
Theyâll have to run more candidates and will end up splitting their own vote costing them more seats. I know several people who voted Sinn Fein last time but will be voting for Fine Gael next time.
They better not make him angry. They wouldnât like him when heâs angry
You do in your hole
Sinn Fein made no effort to form a government. Itâll cost them big time.
Why would they run more candidates in marginal seats? It would make no sense. They will run a second or third candidate in the constituencies they had huge surpluses in alright and will definitely return the incumbent TDs and will most likely sneak a few over the line.
How exactly do you think they will lose seats by splitting the vote.
I think itâs probably best to have a new election. Itâs a very different country now than what it was when we voted.
If this âarrangementâ goes South then Martinâs arse is on the bacon slicer big time. The party will possibly organise a putative heave while making eyes at MaryLou.
Donât lump onto another GE just yet. Many party hawks can smell the Governmental seats, who theyâre teamed with is irrelevant to them.
Roooral Indipindints (Ml Fitzmaurice) and a few others have the Knave of Trumps between them, theyâre not bate yetâŚ
Thereâll be very few TDs looking to risk an election, that could be anything, youâd imagine
The likes of ROD havenât even had a decent pay day yet. They probably canât afford to go again
Thatâs the only thing that would make sense for them. Anything else would mean the half of them lose their seats. Even the like of Jim OâCallaghan might even support government with SF in those circumstances.
If it is another election, will FF change leader before the vote?
Most definitely. If Martin doesnt get this over the line, heâll be gone. They wonât risk going to the polls again with such a dead duck in charge. Again.
To who though. They would have changed before the last vote if they had someone.
Anyone. Anyone at all.
