They seem to struggle with the concept of proportional representation as well, judging by their candidate selection policy for the General Election. Probably does take a while though to get up to speed and make the transition from gun running, murder, terrorism and abstention to electoral politics.
Most SF voters are thick as pigshit and the leadership know it.
In 1982 FF under CJH got 45% of the vote but Garrett became Taoiseach .

They didnāt get the majority of votes, they got the most votes. The party with the most votes hasnāt been in government numerous times in the history of the state
