General Election 2020 Part 2

He didnt mention class

It was inferred

Where was class mentioned there Sid?

So you made it up, thanks for confirming.

In 1982 coalition was a dirty word in FF

Majority means the larger number of, mate.

FF,FG and the greens have all bent their principles to keep SF out

They’ve got a weak opposition, because they’ve discredited SF for years and the rest are abysmal.

It’s honestly terrifying

It was a dirty word with them up to 2007 . They felt they had a god given right to rule and to the Presidency I might add .

No. In 89 they went in kicking and screaming with the pds.

It means a number larger than half the total.

Not like you to overreact

Greens did?

Sinn Fein still setting the agenda in the dail and in here. They’ve been mentioned more times than any other party the past 2 days and it’s nothing to do with them. Mick is some craic

SF “sacrificed” their principles in going into Dáil Éireann in 1986.

SF “sacrificed” their principles by choosing to administer British rule in Northern Ireland.

They’re the main opposition now, get used to some big person pants and scrutiny.

SF didn’t sacrifice their principles in 1986 . There was an effective coup against the O Bradaigh wing

That’s the kind of thinking that has the establishment franchise shrinking every year… Keep it up pal.

You have a FF,FG coalition, pandering to the greens to keep SF out.

Three fundamentally different parties, with little to no opposition, trying to deliver on a hastily agreed programme for government.

It has the potential for a disaster.

In a time where you need cohesive and swift governance. Fuck me.

when you say disaster what are you envisaging ?

IRA/SF finally recognised the State of Eire in 1986. In 1998 they accepted defeat in their grubby terrorist campaign. The terms of their surrender saw them decommissioning, accepting the partition of the island of Ireland and signing up to administer British rule in Northern Ireland.

We are facing a difficult time, that will require clear direction, not three parties fighting in dail eireann to push their own agendas.

The opposition shouldn’t be in the coalition.

It’ll probably be worse than the last time FF had the reigns
