General Election 2020 Part 2

A little bit pedantic. The majority of, which is what I stated is correct. I didnt say, a majority

I’d been holding it together fairly well until I’ve seen Stephen Donnelly get a ministerial position!

Then what are you moaning on about FF and FG “keeping SF out”

Black and tan Flanagan got the bullet, McEntee to justice. Big ministry for her thought it would have been O’Callaghan for that job.

Stephen Donnelly is a staggering appointment. I thought he was possibly the single worst performer during the General Election campaign. Plus with only 6 Fianna Fáil positions, he’s a blow in.

Because that’s what’s happened. The party that got the most votes has been kept out by two historically opposing parties.

If this happened in the States you’d have lads losing their shit, sorry, when this happened in the states, lads did lose their shit

That cabinet wouldn’t fill ya with a lot of confidence. Good to see murphy and Flanagan gone but McEntee to justice what’s the thinking behind that? Donnelly to health will be as bad if not worse than Harris.

I disagree but either way your underlying point was fucking stupid.

Firstly it’s not votes that matter it’s seats.

Secondly as has been pointed out several times - there have been other examples with the party with the most votes didn’t go into gov.

Thirdly - the incoming gov has both the most votes combined and the majority of votes - and more importantly the majority of seats.

The party with the most votes has not been in government numerous times in the history of the state

Simon Donnelly had to get help from an RTÉ presenter during one of the health debates. The fact he’s seen as better than the other simple Simon is some reflection on us

The two major political parties who up until a few months ago, absolutely would not go into government together.

I cant believe people think this is a good thing

Donnelly as Minister for Health, good grief

From the 90s? Why is he on RTE?
