What did you want to happen, another election?

Yes

He is a political commentator now

It probably would have led to the same end result just with Varadkar still being Taoiseach

I think people have mixed views on it. Iā€™m not sure itā€™s what any of the parties wanted but hey ho, thatā€™s democracy, particularly PR democracy.

Whatā€™s the alternative though - bearing in mind another GE was unlikely to decisively offer other options?

He was indeed. Ansbacher Foley he became known as although he was initially called Denis.

The alternative would be for any of the parties to at least discuss a pfg with the shinners, and treat them as a democratic party. What we have now is bad.

Shinners as the only real opposition, who they can easily discredit is bad. Real bad.

If mary Lou sits back and watches this government tear itself apart, and then sails in under the ā€œchangeā€ banner, then fuck me, that will be even worse.

As @Ashman said earlier, we could be stuck in a loop of rainbow coalitions for a generation.

We need strong government and strong opposition.

Heā€™ll get something but Iā€™d say heā€™s seething.

ā€œJack angry nowā€

That sleveen Stephen Donnelly gets health. No doubt will make a roaring cunt of it.

Iā€™m not a fan, but Varadkar has played a blinder here. Heā€™s kept all the important economic ministeries for FG, foisted Angola on a moron, kicked rooraland Humphreys back to the juniors and gets the jobs portfolio for himself.

And gets rid of the troublesome housing portfolio as well. Fuck me, Meehawl was fair desperate to be Taoiseach.
