If FF abstain then Mary Lou will be elected Taoiseach with support of the Red Tide. That is their plan currently. She can then form a government but FF can take it down when they decide.

She will be elected next week. Itās quite cunning by FF. I did not think they had it in them.
It would be very disappointing if SF cant form a govt.
Between the public reaction, media and party utterances from Fine Gael, there has been a real sulky attitude from them over the election results. A type of sneery āye won so, off ye fucking go and see what you can do nowā with the expectation of it coming back to bite Sinn Fein in the hole. A feigned congrats that is loaded with you dont know what you are getting yourselves into. Happy to now sit back and pick up the pieces when they expect it to inevitably fail.
If Sinn Fein dont end up in government after this, then the public who voted will go even more mad over the whole thing. Which is to Sinn Feins advantage too. Sit back, dont go in, and hammer the next elections even moreso. Fianna Fail are the only ones who look to be desperate to get control.

I was disappointed with the TV series on him.
Stuff like his college days, his early professional career, the Arms Trial, the chicken and chips circuit etc, thatās whatās really interesting about him.

SF need to get FF to agree to form a govt. They need to make this happen. Every day that goes by without SF in Govt is another day wasted where we could be solving the housing and health crisis.

Well itās about time that FG got combative and defended their record a bit.
Martin will want his day in the sunā¦who knows what that does to FF long term ā but I think he knows that the party are fucked what ever way he goes so heāll probably look to roll the dice, go into power for 5 years with FG and believe he can win back support over the 5 years.
