25% of the people who voted, not âthe peopleâ as a whole or anything near it. FG are entitled to their principles. Thats what their voters voted for
Thereâs no political hatred like the hatred self styled âcentristsâ have for anything even vaguely left. Just look at the Blairites in Labour and the corporate Democrats in the US. Theyâd prefer Johnson and Trump to Sanders and Corbyn. If there was a genuine far right party with six or seven seats, say if the fascists of the National Party had that, FFG would do a deal with them far sooner than they would with Sinn Fein.
I think since Sunday - almost every FG voice has indicated an acceptance to go into opposition culminating in Leo saying it yâday. How is that arrogant?
Youâre the one projecting your views onto the whole electorate. Youâve certainly managed to accumulate your fair share of arrogance in a couple of days
Yesterday you were saying SF had a mandate to govern. Now youâre saying they donât. So who does?
I didnât use the word arrogant. Why are FG so intent on not being in government? They have three seats less than the largest party in terms of seats. Every Fine Gael government before 2011 was formed with them having less seats than Fianna Fail, usually with far more than a three seat gap.
