No
When Labour have the smell of a Ministerial car youâd better not be standing in their way.
Itâs relatively simple really. FF with circa 55, FG circa 45 totalling about 100. About 85 required for comfort.
Itâs difficult on these presumptive figures to cobble any administration together than an arrangement similar to the outgoing shitshow with FF at the wheel.
Labour 7. SF 20. Greens 6. Ind, including SD at 1 to make up the rest.
Ff/SF/Greens it is. Let the games commence.
The arithmetic might just fit the scenario but, butâŚ
@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy mightnât be overly enamoured and that would concern me.
As a devout Rovers/Greens/Chelsea/flying thousands of air miles/SF/Celtic/climate change/FG(yes)/Roma supporter, I think itâs fair to say heâll adapt well enough.
FF and FG could probably alternate minority governments for the next century. It is in their best interests to do so.
Much like last century so
More or less although FF used to regularly get outright majorities and that will probably never happen again. The reality is thereâs no alternative in terms of governing.
I disagree. In terms of their respective party interests, now is the time for FG to drive a stake through the hearts of FF. Lots of people still hate them and most of their support is around the age of you, @anon67715551 and @Fagan_ODowd. The most important thing for them is to deny ff a foothold in the hearts of younger voters.
FG will always have their core vote, egotistical business folk and the âIâm alright Jackâ movement. Thankfully, they peak around 25%. Which is healthy for the country. FF need in now to stay relevant. Itâs their last roll of the dice. If they donât get in and make a good go of it, they could drift into roaster obscurity.
John Healy famously said - any socialism in the irish labour party went out the fumes of a state merc
FF+Greens+independents. Iâve said it twice now
A non-runner. The 2 parties mentioned might cobble together 60. 85 would be seen as a safe majority. Youâd need 20+ Healy-RaesâŚ
With a couple of FF gene pool independents it would be the âforty shades of green coalitionâ
