The replay was a disaster. Think we started Storey at full forward. The three games in the NHL final tookbtheir toll I think.
We were to the left of the up and down seats cc @Piles_Hussain and about half way up. They were great seats. Perhaps not in line with the flight of the ball in, Morrissey was to our right, but you could see DJ running in, what a goal!! Dodger was incredible around then.
We were sitting very close to each other then.
It was an unbelievable game. One of the best I ever went to. Leinster final '96 just ahead of it.
The Dodger is still incredible.
I’m think the real team and not the dummy team was released to press for the replay

2 mins into highlights here. Terrible attempt to block it. My recollection at the time was like yours and it flew into the top corner, seeing it back now and it was harmless
Cleary was Tipp’s only all star that year despite winning Munster before an insipid AI semi defeat
That was Skippy’s fourth all star in a row.
Tipp lost that semi by two points. Ken Hogan let in a ferociously soft goal that day from what I recall
I have no recollection at all of that game except that I didn’t bother attending it because the Euro '96 quarter-final between Germany and Croatia looked an infinitely more appealing counter attraction.
The 93 Wexford replay was my first trip to Croke Park.
This was the semi final after Wexford had beaten Kilkenny in the quarter final a couple of weeks beforehand. It was an expected stroll in the park to get to the final to play Offaly who beat Laois the same day on a double header. Wexford got ahead early but that penalty pulled Dublin back and Wexford were absolute shite in the second half without looking like losing. It was a good kick in the hole for them to finish out a game, which they duly did against Offaly in the final.
The previous Wexford game against Kilkenny was also a double header with Offaly beating Meath in the 1/4 final. I remember that game as I was shocked with the amount of hurls being broken. Absolutely skelping each other. I was sat not far behind the dug out on the Cusack stand side and there were piles of broken hurls left there.
Gentleman.
Yeah the back could have caught it
Ger Cushe. Some lad to flake an opponent
Ger Cushe. Some lad to flake an opponent
Liberal usage of the hurl is the polite term.
in the Shawshank Redemption, how did Andy Dufresne get the leverage to hang the poster back on the wall given that he could only face forward through the hole he was climbing through?
What was he using? He’d have it permanently attached at the top two and one of the bottom corners. The other corner would have been tricky alright

Suction
Andy had stuck two small magnets on either lower corner on the back of the poster and two small iron pieces glued to the wall that would hold the magnets in place and keep the poster taut. They reference this early enough in the movie
I thought everyone knew this
yes, like would they make such a big deal of the magnets in the yard scene if it wasnt part of the plot
What magnets in the yard scene?
