I wonder are over 45s going to be the next thing here. Masters gaa crept up to over 40s but soccer is still at 35. Big difference between a 35 and a 45 year old though. Next stop the priests over 75
Better than umpires from each club.
“Was that over?”
“Yes” “No”
FML
i was beaten at lawn tennis by a lad in his 80s recently enough
most lads are still togging out in the league proper at 35, especially if they’re any use
I’d imagine you’d be more of a clay court specialist
Match OFF
weather or another reason?
Weather.
When Semple Stadium wasn’t playable it looked ominous for a bog on the side of a hill in West Limerick.
Gerald Griffin’s?
Could be athea, Griffin’s, glin, mountcollins, glantine
Or Clare
I remember passing a pitch in that fairly bleak place Glensharrold (Carrickerry) before but it must be a soccer pitch as that would be in Ardagh parish (unless they’ve a second ground - our club at home would have a second one about 5km away from the main ground where we played a good bit of underage games.)
St Kierans GAA Club (Ardagh) would have been home to at least 3 soccer clubs at one stage; Creeves, Carrigkerry & Kilcolman.
There was also a team in Ardagh called Ashtown Villa but they disappeared a good while back.
Carrigkerry pitch must be Glensharrold so. I like West Limerick a lot but that place was fucking eerie.
Well, that went worse than usual. I got called every name under the sun. Was told I shouldn’t be refereeing if I didn’t know the rules (all by the team who won comfortably), and came dangerously close to losing my temper with the coach, to a bad level.
That’s it for me and refereeing anyway.
You really would want your head examined.
You got the £50, move on.
You should have caused havoc. Send the lot of them off
Didn’t take money. Never have.
Do you know the rules fully?
