Gigs coming up

Mastodon are going on the road with Opeth in the USA. Le cunaimh DĂ© they’ll be able to bring this tour to Europe.

That sounds cool. I think I’ll buy tickets as well. Has liberty hall been used as a gig venue before? Probably I suppose but not in my memory.

I’ve seen a few readings at it - more of a play theatre

Any word on tickets for Christy Moore at Vicar Street at Christmas?

Ticketmaster / Ed Sheeran’s team look to have found a solution to ensure ticket touts won’t be selling tickets for the concerts next year.

They’ll be no physical tickets. Tickets are sent to the Ticketmaster account used at the time of purchase but tickets aren’t going to be made available on the app until closer to the event. If you bought tickets today you just got a confirmation email but no ticket yet.

Group bookings are allowed but everyone will have to arrive at the same time and the person who made the booking will have to produce ID which matches the name on the booking.

It’s a great idea.

Is it a QR code you are sent last minute

I’d assume so.

Only flaw I can think of is that a parent will need to be there on the day if they are gifting tickets to their children.

So if the fella who bought them can’t make it yere all fucked or can someone else bring his ID?

I thought you can nominate a phone number and tickets/qr codes get sent to that last minute

Yeah you’d be in bother I’d say.

Goes into detail here

Good one. A fella going to see Ed Sheeran. :grinning:
