Gigs coming up

Nick Cave fucked the crowd out of it for filming over here last year.

He was right too.

Just got tickets for The Flaming Lips at the Olympia later this month.

Can’t believe its 18 years since they played in Vicar Street…

Pulp. June.

She had a thirst for knowledge.

Nick is ok with genocide but takes a hardline on recording at gigs. The cunt.

I doubt that he is ok with genocide.

He is yeah. He has no problem with it. Thom Yorke the same.

I haven’t followed it hugely but is this purely because they played in Israel?

Yes it is.

I don’t think Cave has actually played Israel in a good few years. Did he/is he going there on his current tour? He has been pretty shit in his his response to BDS calls. He seems very agitated about anything he considers censorship rather than ā€œpro-Israelā€. It’s still been a pretty shit and morally hollow stance. Radiohead seem a little more ā€œpro-Israelā€ to me.

The 4 of Us in Sligo

Going to see Seamus Fogarty in the Star Bar on Baggot St. Sitting up at the bar in Toners when who pitches up beside me only Seamus himself. Taking a break from the stress of the sound check. I stood him a drink and we had a grand chat.

ā€œstood him a drinkā€ a lovely turn of phrase

Blindboy Paxton in the sugar club this evening. He’s played a few times recently, my first time seeing him, class, and such a happy guy he’s really fun to watch how much he’s enjoying himself.

David Gray is back in 3 Arena on friday and the bars will be closed during the show.
