Gigs coming up

Just done with Kneecap. Powerful stuff. Such a mixed crowd. The younger Irish in Britain are great

There’s something bubbling.

Off to Bell X1 in the Mandela Hall in Belfast this evening. I’ll take in the Christmas Market at Belfast City Hall for some mulled wine and fish and chips.

I was on Ticketmaster duties this morning for Zach Bryan in Cork. I’m not going.

8 seated tickets.

€1342

€84 of that was “service fees”

:fearful:

Cost of living crisis how are ya

Jesus, that’s mental.

If people keep paying it…

What was the range for the Autumn internationals in the Aviva?

That works out at approximately €170 each.

This Bryan fella appears to be a big deal so such a cost is not unheard of I would suggest.

Youngsters lamenting they’re not fit to save to buy houses, spending 170 for a Zach Bryan ticket.

By God.

I queried my daughter who is going ( daddy and mammy are paying) as why the fcuk they were so dear.
She infoms me that poor ould Zack has to pay at least one ex a heap of $$$ as part of an NDA .

I was in the Button Factory for the Deafheaven gig tonight, if you get the chance to see them, GO! They are a serious band. drums ripping with the bass, lead guitar melting the place, vocals soaring with a front man who had the place in the palm of his hand.

They’ve a new album out and it’s bloody wonderful. First time I heard them was the old “Sunbather” album, and I’ve been hooked since, but tonight, off the charts good.

If you get the chance, go see them. They’re the real deal. Only 30 quid on the door.

In a move that shocks nobody, the Wolfe Tones have unretired themselves.

They’re playing Cork City Hall on the 20th in what promises to be an epic gig, a return to their finest hour, Franks in City Hall in winter of 93 was my favourite ever gig, the homecoming, Sultans had a similar gig around the same time
I bought an orange ‘who’s the langer in the Franks T-shirt’ that I wore for many many years (between washes :man_shrugging:)

A great band
