Giro d'Italia 2014

Outrageous bad luck for Bongiorno today, getting pushed into the back of Rogers by some cunt in a rainbow jersey. Some amount of fucking eejits on that mountain. A Colombian fan almost caused Quintana to fall.

Savage unlucky. Very demoralising. The absolute cunt almost took Roland down later too.

Rogers form today wasn’t at all suspicious.
Roche finished 4th but did a lot of silly work on the decent off penultimate mountain. Unless he was told to bring Rogers down it was stage suicide.

On an unrelated note, I really dislike these Orica GreenEDGE cunts, especially with that doper Stephens in charge. I’d say they’re all charged up to the gills.[/QUOTE]

Some lampre guy that won two stages in the Giro got done last week.

That was very unsurprising. I could honestly tell just by looking at him on the telly. What was his name…Ulissi, or something?

Can’t remember. Just another cheating Italian.

Diego Ulissi it is. Lampre…can’t wait to see what Chris Horner produces for them in France

Diego Ullisi, he was allowed to take Ventolin for asthma which did contain Salbutamol. It seems he took a bit too much. He left Moreno for dead on stage 8 of the Giro which was a big surprise. What was a bigger surprise was the way he passed out Rodriguez on stage 4, he passed him like he wasn’t even there.

What’s even more suspicious is Rui Costa being talked up as a possible podium chance. All of a sudden he can go from a good one week racer to 6th favourite for the Tour.

Le Tour is still a doper’s paradise. Always will be.

Just re-reading Breaking the Chain by Willy Voet at the moment. Makes me feel so stupid to think that LA going down or the emergence of Garmin would ever change anything.

I’m not too bothered about how the Tour goes this year. Lost interest at this stage.

In fairness though it should be some battle between Froome and Contador. It’s a pity though, they are a country mile ahead of everyone else.

I couldn’t watch the Vuelta to the fullest extent of my capabilities but I know Horner was sensational. Any chance he can challenge them or will he just be aiming for a podium?

I can’t see it happening to be honest,he had a bad crash in April and his preperation hasn’t been ideal. The word is he is riding for Costa anyway.

Yeah, probably hasn’t the miles done, which even a doper needs. But if he really goes at it with his “preparation” I think we’ll see him do something note-worthy.

He’s 43 in a few months

The worst thing about LA is he transcended the sport so much that it has become very easily to just interchange the words Lance and doping and ignore the fact that doping predated Lance and will long continue after he has gone.

Yeah, I think people (and I would’ve been one of them for 5 minutes) thought it was a watershed moment. A grand champion stripped of his titles, prize-money with a hellish life full of legal battles.
But no. I was reading an interview with Ricco a couple of days ago, a lad who knows doping inside out, and even he said today’s peloton is just the same.

I did come across one inspiring tale though during Breaking the Chain…Eric Caritoux won the 84 Vuelta clean. Voet says he was absolutely fucked by the end but he did it.

TVG won white clean in 2012 imo

Would you believe Ryder won the Giro clean?

Unsure. Kimmage has huge amount of time for TVG and I’d trust his judgement
