Giving Blood

Great spread at the Limerick one. They always have the small (and best) Snack bars

Yea and not being able to give blood as a result. I was 15

Always found it hilarious that Varadkar ain’t allowed give blood and he the minister of health. Harney probably not able to give it either.

Is this contagious? Can we get this by being on the same forum as you?

Give it regularly. Put in to become a platelet donor too. Got assessed last Monday evening ( Finbarrs was busy btw, great to see). Turned down as my veins are big enough but too deep. Ah well.

yes, no

90,000 regular blood donors to be contacted over faulty equipment

Half the forum now has aids :astonished:

Hay for sale.

@Locke must be riddled with it the misfortune.

I just wanted to help others

That’s what they all say, fucking sick fuckers.

Do gooder bastards.

Good job Noonan isn’t minister for health this time round.

That time of the month. 3 months became closer to 4. Got the pin for my 10th donation tonight. Nice idea.

However, the highlight was that I spoke for a good 10 minutes with the nurse lady about hemochromatosis and the best way to tackle it for anyone suffering from it. She brought it up in conversation. I even mentioned how I knew that sometimes the ferritin levels will jump up on a given week before coming down for 3-4 weeks. We joked about the lifestyle of people who suffer from hemochromatosis and how it’s such an Irish disease among other things.

Little does she know that the only things I know about hemochromatosis are gleaned from posts I’ve read from @Fagan_ODowd, @Fran and @Julio_Geordio. TFK - educating the uninformed
