Giving to Charity

This is a great organisation operating in Ireland and a rankings system we need here

A bad few days for rugby. Losing the big games at the weekend, linked to this scam and Mouse outed Young Munsters as being a recruiting front for the british army.

Dont forget Lukey.

I was on board, until I saw they gave money to Macnas, and this I cannot stand for.

Are those cunts still going around with the zooropa heads? Grr

You would think Paul Kelly’s past would have raised some red flags about him running a charity. Its not like he doesn’t have form. He has been at this for years. When you read through the article you wonder how this guy got away with it for so long, he was caught impersonating a doctor, has attempted to set up other charities called Chrisitian Development services, called himself either Brother or Reverend Kelly, tried to set up a religious congregation called Order of San Damiano and another called Servants of the Poor.

Bressie will now get in and clean this shit up.

like with the CRC scandal, this sort of shit being done by the executives majorly fucks up the actual good work that is being done by people within the charity. I had dealings with Console before and the guy I was working with couldnt have been more helpful and was far from in it for the money. He was doing it on top of his normal job and the hours he must have spent would be massive. But then for his bosses effectively to be robbing him and the genuine people who try help is fucking rotten. That family needs sever jail time. Its fraud of the highest fucking order. The uber cunt Angela Kearns was a fucking fraud too, but nothing in the scale of these fucking cunts. The pricks will get away with it though as they will claim it was for the charity and they will have their connections. It will make fuck all difference to them, they have their ill gotten gains, they are going to be well set up, but the charity will go to shit and the good decent work it was doing is going to be fucked away.

Everyone in this country is the same

A terrible shame. The only worthy charity anyone can give money to with any confidence is SVDP.

It’s true.

No, no, no.

The organisation I have the most involvement with is DSI. When you read the annual report you can see how many employees they have but not how much they are on. Not sure if that is the norm. I’ve served on boards but you don’t get a penny for it. I have seen costs come into certain events and there has to be a contribution to the central fund, and for what? Nothing! Jokeshop.

If any of those salaries are funded by public money they can be got through freedom of information.

Very little public funds glas for DSI, I know that much. Pretty much all money is raised through fundraising and charitable events.

Anyone wanting to throw a few pound my way for TdeM 16 spin give me a PM and I’ll sent ye a link. Thanks in advance

Even if it’s a minimal amount of public funding, it will apply.

You’d want your head examined to give money to charities these days.

The CEO was reportedly also the only person who was allowed to open the mail. It’s not clear what would happen to donations received by mail

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Donating to charity in Ireland is a mugs game.
