Only 60 full time members. A beautiful course. Once this shit is all over I’ll head up and play the 27 at Carne and Enniscrone.

Corballis is a little known public links course in donabate. It has about 12 brilliant holes with stunning scenery. Let down by a few holes on the back 9. Used to play it regularly years ago for 10 or 15 quid.

The 6th is a par 3 on a big two tier green but you need to be straight as anything to get to green. Trouble everywhere around it no respite short or long

Great course you have to play tons of different iron shots

Yeah it’s the only way you improve. I would sometimes go out and play 9 on a quite evening on my own but you learn nothing. When you are waiting around for 3 other fellas to hit it’s a different matter.

Have any of ye played Blarney? The young fella Christmas before last got us an overnight stay with 2 rounds thrown in missus obviously plays as well. Stunning views but it was like playing on the edge of a cliff at times seemed like a Celtic Tiger venture that never really developed. Was busy though when we were there last May.

I never play on my own anymore. You get into desperate habits. You have to lift your head that bit quicker to catch the flight. When you’re playing with others they can track the flight of it for you

I hate it. It uses length as a defence and its featureless. Theres no character to it

Yeah when I started playing in a few opens I found myself missing quite a few 3 and 4 foot putts. The reason why - I had always taken them for granted when playing on my own and eagerness to move onto the next hole.

Exactly. You can let yourself away with murder. Throw down a second ball etc. Its no good unless you’re disciplined

Par 3, the very elevated par 3 in Dromoland.
Par 5 the finishing hole in adare manor / 12th in salthill
Par 4 the 17th in claremorris or the 6th in Galway Bay

Never played any of them

Yeah. Sacrilege to say it maybe but I actually enjoyed it more than Portmarnock which I thought was a bit samey, and easier. And didnt have half the views.

Great to have a bit of chat on here without bickering👍

Great track.

Played tons of different courses with previous work society. Brilliant one was Bunclody. Fantastic course and clubhouse.

It’s probably the prettiest course I ever played. Is that the one that the deer do be on?

Some finishing hole. Interesting you went 3 wood off the tee. Always big dog then 5 wood and then flick. Don’t carry a 3 wood tbf

My driver was all over the shop.
