Let me know if it’s any good

I will of course

Never watched it.

American Psycho is a great movie

Did it come to you?

Ian McEwan is a great bit of stuff. As well as the ones @gilgamboa mentions above I’d recommend Enduring Love, Atonement and Black Dogs.

I started reading The Third Policeman. I’m at the bit where the unnamed narrator goes off in search of the policeman who has the ability to determine the length of a person’s life. This apparently is done on the grounds of selecting the colour of overcoats to place on the person - once you get to black then you’re dead. What you are really looking to start on is a light yellow.

Gone Girl

I’ve forgotten half the books I’ve read till lads here mention them… Slaughter house 5 is a great book @PhattPike. The Third Policeman is arguably the best Irish book written @farmerinthecity. Papillon is outstanding…

One of the best books I read during lockdown, about Irish American Politicians, Fixers and Cops in Up State New York in the 1940s

Positive nod to I am Pilgrim from me.

Where did you get this deal? Is it an offer they do occasionally? Their site/ app isn’t great for finding membership deals and the likes

You can’t buy off the app as far as I know, go to the website and when you’re logged in you should see this

Ah, so that’s on top of your monthly fee also? Haven’t been on the desktop site, must check it out. I’ve jumped to the 2 credit deal for 15… One course and one book is probably enough for me a month, I wouldn’t be pounding the roads to the same degree as you. … Dostoyevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov is about 38 hours long :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::+1:

i listen at 1.5 speed,
Just finished the Goldfinch which was 32 hours long, took a couple of weeks, I won’t be nominating it for the Good Books thread
