Absolutely bizarre that you could get a jail sentence from someone unqualified to either defend or prosecute you

It was a very bleak place in the 80s, sport was a huge boost when it was gong well,
My old fella worked in Fords as did most of our neighbours that weren’t working in Dunlops, I was down for the weekend and spent a fair bit of time in town and around Douglas, it’s unrecognizable from the dark days

While understanding that we may have reached peak Vietnam on this site, I would like to commend this book. For a Max Hastings book it is very readable, though as usual very long.

This should be a great read

Sighs… The Cunt has no shame.

Solar Bones is magnificent
I suspect a book that stays with a reader after finishing it
I thought I wouldn’t like a book with no chapters, I was completely wrong. Outstanding

I started a book in the week about a sailing ship and poppies which opens in India by an Indian author. I was really enjoying it til I lost the fucking thing. :rage:

Was it called " Behind the Bushes " by any chance. The author was Ivor Knickersdown.

Fagan, you seem to be a man of refined and sensible tastes. It’ll take you an afternoon to read the following book. Go on and give it a go, then you can tell the lads here how extraordinary it is. They don’t have the wit to listen to me.
