Just watched legend. Meh. Hardy is sensational in it all the same.
Spot on!
The order of the three movies is:
The girl with the dragon tattoo
The girl who played with fire
The girl who kicked the hornets nest
Only the first one got the Hollywood treatment with Daniel Craig.
Read all three of the above books. Addictive. Bought the new one at the weekend, hopefully it won’t be a big disappointment.
If anyone has an interest in the revenge flick genre (he asked knowingly), can I be so bold as to recommend “Dead Man’s Shoes”. Paddy Considine is a fucking boss in this one. Shane Meadows at his finest.
I once overheard two new Irish discuss and rate the 7 fast and furious movies. I was mesmerised The consensus was the series went to pot around 4 but came back strongly.
I have heard 7 described as like Point Break which piqued my interest.
What other movie has someone jumping a multi million dollar car through three skyscrapers?
What other movie franchise can actually pull off say, ripping a bank vault clear of it’s foundations by two mustangs and then drag it through a city while managing a magic trick in the middle of the chase?
All hail Vin Diesel and the Rock
It’s a bizarre series, it should have been dead after 1 yet here is is, 7 films in and the last one is actually one of the highest grossing movies of all time. But it really defies all logic and definition. Point Break isn’t a bad comparison for 7.
I enjoyed Straight Outta Compton.
Ice Cube put the rest of them to shame.
Wasn’t he played by Ice Cubes son?
Yes. I’m on about the way Ice Cube mugged the rest of them off with his disses after they split, mugged them off good and proper.
Suge Knight doesn’t seem like a very nice man.
Suge be crazy
The excellent “His Girl Friday” is on youtube for any out there looking to drag their arse through an afternoon in work some day, or otherwise.
There’s a point break remake out at Christmas. Trailer looks cheesy as fuck…still it could be good.
Ben Hur ITV3 now
The Martian, usually i find sci movies can be stark and cold but there is a warmth and humour to this movie
Thought it was very poor…it needed independent makers… Easy E was the man and a game changer in hip-hop…very badly portrayed in the movie and the other two come out smelling of Roses. There was no real edge to it. Dre beat the fuck out of his partner, surprised that didn’t make it in…
Really liked it. The couple of hours flew by.
Jeff Daniels and Matt Damon strike me as alright sorts.
+1
for me, i appreciated its complexity, nothing worse than going to a movie and being talked down to
Enjoyed Sicario. Benicio Del Toro is utterly immense in it
Went to this last night, surprisingly good, could have gotten very boring, but they move it along nicely. Matt Damon has good comic timing. It all seemed perfectly reasonable as well, until he flew off in the MAV from Mars with a tarp as the roof, I found that slightly unbelievable.
