Does your stint in Clonmel make you a tarp expert now?
I’m not in Clonmel mate, why are you using the present tense?
And now a master of the Queen’s English?
Did/does the “now” at the end of my previous question not require a “does”.
I don’t know. I’m just an exiled Republican; all I know is Up the 'ra etc
You would have been better off conceding that you made a hames of that pal, Now I’m going to have make fun of your linguistic aptitude. You uncouth Monaghan roaster.
Have seen ‘Sicario’ and ‘The Martian’ recently - both worth a look.
Has this cunt just given away the fucking ending of a film currently in the cinema? You silly prick.
I saw the Martain lately it was really good. I’d give it an 8/10. It was humorous and smart but not in a condescending way, not like they were talking down to you for example.
Best part was when he witnessed those reptiles or whatever they were scampering into the cave. I liked that they left that bit hang in the air and he didn’t approach them, they left it up to the viewer to work out the meaning in your own mind.
I’ve watched the first one about 20 times.
It’s unreal.
I liked the bit at the end of The Martian where they suggest that he died on Mars and the rest was imaginings of his brain dying or a story they told the media.
Was he dead all along?
Yeah. Died in the storm.
Ya enjoyed it to even if it moved theu a couple of phases too fast. Ice Cube Jnr, for obvious reasons, did a great version of his aul lad.
Went to cinema to see The Martian. Def worth going, i’m one of these movie independant type snobs but i thought it was a decent hollywood effort. Matt Damon is brilliant, in general.
Damon must have a bit of the Tom Cruise about him in that he likes the auld aliens. A lot of his movies are set in space in recent years, he has very clearly instructed his agent IMO to find roles for these type of movies. Same as Cruise. As i typed that it seems like a nothing observation but maybe someone will find it useful.
Informative rating
Not sure if it’s been mentioned above, but I thoroughly enjoyed Calvary, which I watched on Netflix at the weekend.
The businessman character was outstanding.
Sicario is very good Del Toro and Brolin are class, felt they could have done a bit more with the story mind it prick teases alot of action but doesn’t really deliver.
I thought it was an utterly brilliant film.
Thought sicario was only ok, the Martian better.
SPOILERS
del toros character was good, the rest poor and the story was put together terribly. Blunts character was a hard nosed battler at one stage, a civil rights champion next. The scene at the bar was terribly acted out. The trip to Juarez, the tunnel and her walking around in a bra all gratuitous efforts to keep the audience paying attention. The side story in Mexico with the cop totally ineffective emotionally. Really disappointing.
The Martian was ok but a harmless mix of gravity and interstellar to a way. Damon was class.
Thanks for flagging the spoilers, but honestly no need pal. This is now a spoilers thread. Just lash them in there!
“Good” is a bit generous but John Caroenter’s Vampires is a delightful romp. On Syfy now.
