Man About Dog is nearly as much a Christmas Eve tradition on telly as Father Ted’s Christmas special these days
Belfast is very good.
The wee kid in it gave a tour de force.
Does sectarianism come into this film?
If it did, I don’t think I’d watch it.
It’s set during The Troubles so naturally yes but it’s more a feel good film.
Godfather II on here all afternoon
That kids name was Moe Green.
Supposed to be brilliant. A bit of Oscar heat about it too
A Boy Called Xmas: gash. Persisted in the name of Xmas while both kids begged through out for Die Hard. They were right.
Don’t Look Up: funny in parts, longer than necessary but decent enough watch. Social commentary in style of, but falls short of, The Big Short
The French Dispatch: brilliant stuff, Anderson at his quirky humourous best
It’s incredible all right.
The young chap utterly steals the show. Great soundtrack with Van the Man too.
Breakdown- Kurt Russell. Just don’t make action flicks like them any more.
I saw that in the cinema in America in 1997. A proper movie.
An old school 90s thriller, very good.
I was roaring Kurt on between mouthfuls of Celebrations.
Watched the Last Duel last night. It was surprisingly good. Ben Affleck aside.
Hans Solo’s youngfella was brilliant in it
He was on the three who wrote the screenplay so pretty probably had to get the gig
Parts of it were filmed in Meath, or so the commentary went while we were watching it last night
Wrath of man is a middling action/thriller movie starring Jason Statham!!!
There must have been 50k bullets fired and no riding. Can’t have everything. 6.5/10.
Some of it filmed in Cahir Castle too
Good flick that Last Duel. Fucking long tho. Not sure what the story is with movies having to be 2hours + now.
Just watched Killer Joe (2011). McConaghy never fails to entertain,.mental movie
Its Ridley Scott. They could have cut a lot of the De Gris piece as it was unnecessarily long winded. It was well made though. That mother in law was some cunt. The 1300s were no different than now
