Is it? I saw Bang has it added recently but hadn’t heard much about it
It’s on Netflix. It’s a grand film. I enjoyed it. Not a great deal to think about but the actors are all great.
Just watched it was very enjoyable
A Quiet Place 2 was far better than I expected it to be. A very decent sequel. 3rd one incoming too I believe.
The Green Book is a lovely film. One you’d watch more than once.
Hustle is class
Watched it last night.
Very good.
I was going to watch Dublin v Kerry back last night but as I turned on the telly I chanced upon the first few minutes of The Field on RTE 1 instead. That was the end of Dublin v Kerry.
The Field is in my “films I always watch to the end if I chance upon them” genre.
It got bad reviews from ye olde take themselves very seriously US film crickets. They knew nothing. It’s a fucking phenomenal film.
Best Irish film ever and up there with the best ever films in my view.
Hustle is very good
The young lad was promised a “treat” for something he did recently. He arrived home with the following DVDs/Blue ray (he won’t watch them on iptv if quality not perfect and he told me a lot of movies are “stretched” the Lighthouse being one )
Godfather trilogy
The Lighthouse
2001 : Space Odyssey
Mulholland Drive
Goodfellas
Trainspotting
Bird man
Platoon
74 euro
FFS … I still haven’t worked out what the fcuk happened there… Rebekah Del Rio llorando …what a version
Great selection.
I’ve probably got some DVDs that will need a home when we move house. I’ll message you closer to the time to see does he want any of them.
Thanks for that.
I love the bleakness of it. It’s nearly as bleak as Alan Clarke’s “Scum”, in a different way.
I think that’s why the Americans didn’t like it, and they probably got offended at the Yank getting his head mashed off a rock.
The way the famine is weaved into the story is superb. Not in a twee way but in a skilful believable way.
The disdain for the church and the relatives of those who fled as a result.
‘We stayed!!’
The radiohead fan?!
Yeah. He’s into movies now. So far his favourite is Taxi Driver.
How old is he?
I watched Taxi Driver late on TV3 on Saturday night when I was around 17. Loved it.
a fantastic genre
