An absolute masterpiece of pure carnage.

I watched it last night i thought it was good but it could have been excellent. It was slow moving but coming along nicely and then all of a shot it was wrapped up fairly abruptly IMO. Was it based completely on a true story or loosely? Credits afterwards said it was based off some book. The two main actors are superb in it alright but I found I’d to have the tv nearly up full blast to hear them such was the drole, low key and hard to decipher dialogue that they used throughout. Not ideal straining to hear every syllable like that with young kids sleeping upstairs, one wrong move and they’re up for the night banging pots and pans. I’d recommend anyone watching it to do so during the day.

It took me a while in the beginning to figure out who was the criminal and who was the cop.

On a separate note I was stunned at the amount of cops needed to bring one man to justice. Worth it I suppose for a child murderer. Thanks God there wasn’t a dingo involved.

The first one was unreal

This takes it up a few notches, Art doesn’t mess about!

No Country for Old Men on Sky something now. By Christ it’s amazing. So atmospheric

Great show! Javier bardem certainly nails it

It’s worth going to see for Caitriona Balfe alone.

Her and Dornan are ridiculously good looking in the roles, actually too much so you’d say. No way his character ever pulls her

Dornan is dour as fuck both in the film and in real life. The archetypical northern Protestant.

Hes a fucking ride.

I think I read part of the logic of that is that the kid idolizes his parents and the movie is all from his perspective.

Of course good looking actors sell seats.

I thought it was a load of shite myself.

Keep that to yourself

Why?

Watched Ali & Ava last night on Netflix. A bit of an old school North of England kitchen sink drama with a big heart. Shades of Mike Leigh off it. Enjoyed it a lot.

‘The Old Man’ passed an hour or two there during the week.

Fear Street 3 nails it. And that soundtrack
