As a local there’s a lot wrong with that article, but I wouldn’t be an expert and was never at the grave. @ttown_boy would have been more local. @Malarkey would surely have the inside track on this. Was there years ago but not since the current owner took over. There is a lovely stretch of the Little Arrigle underneath that spot, a stretch where I gave many happy hours catching a lot of trout.
There was an old black and white adaptation of the old man and the sea that I saw many years ago and I think it was very good.
Anybody remember the story that used to be in Victor or Hotspur annuals about the big game fishermen, that was class
The Fabelmans is a nice movie, saw it yesterday. Not sure if it is out in Ireland yet.
It’s semi autobiographical about Steven Spielberg’s upbringing. I had never realised that his father was such a genius.
Dune is a master piece.
Watched an cailin ciuin last night. It moves slow but it’s very moving.
