Watched Tar last weekend - wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea. A real prestige kind of movie. Slow and meandering but I enjoyed it, Cate Blanchett is exceptional in it. Thought the ending was slightly rushed given the slow draw of the rest of the film but maybe that was the point.

First album i ever got of my own. Dad used to work in Hawkins house and i wanted a walkman for my birthday so i got sent in on the dart. He met me at Tara st and we went to Virgin Megastore. He persuaded me to get one of the cheapest walkmen available and then gave me ten minutes to pick out any album i liked. I listened it to death. Still makes me smile when i hear a tune off it.

ending very good i thought when she was conducting in front of all the audience who were dressed up
I liked the ending but given they spent 2.5 hours going through what led to her demise, I thought they could have spent a bit more time on her after the fall as it would have been interesting.
But I suppose the point was to show how quickly these things happen.

the juxtaposition between the haughty interview at the start to her at the end was great but agreed that more focus on her demise would have been nice

I watched the latest M Night Shymalan movie tonight - a knock on the cabin door or something. If you don’t want a spoiler as such then don’t read on.
I wouldn’t bother with it, was promising early on but needed some kind of massive twist as he was known for which didn’t materialise. Good few holes in the storyline too. The best thing about it was probably former WWE wrestler Dave Batista who has turned into a fine actor and is probably now ironically the best action man for a film who costs an eight of what the Rock costs.
