Very good, my 3 and 8 year old loved it.
Moana 2 up next.

An absolutely smashing movie. Can see it easily becoming a Christmas staple. Managed to hold off watching it til now on your reckoning of it being a Christmas movie and given Christmas season is here, I gave it a spin last night. Magnificent.
Its on in the lighthouse cinema
Election by Alexander Payne is an absolute gem of a film. As enjoyable as any film I have seen,
The guy has form.
‘Larry, we’re not electing the fucking Pope’
I searched there to see if he’s done anything recently that I hadn’t heard about. Seems he’s produced a Japanese version of ‘Sideways’.
Whether it’s any good or not, I don’t know. Might try download it later.
Anything he is involved is usually very good
“if I am going back in there, I AM NOT DRINKING MERLOT”
It apparently put a dent in global merlot sales.
Cracking film as well.
Myself and the young fellow have watched the 3 original Stars Wars movies now.
His Granny’s turn this week for Phantom Menance. Grand I’d said . Just hope my son thinks Jar Jar is very annoying. Probably wont happen though
Wonderful, dunno did the young fella really appreciate it tbh.
Jar Jar wasn’t the worst as it turns out
I enjoyed Small Things Like These - as much for its observations on an Ireland I grew up in but was probably blind to at the time given I was a child. The Barry McGuigan fight reference on the radio at the start was a nice touch to set the time period.
My older lad fell asleep during it and thought it was boring and dragged out too long. When I told him he probably needed to have been alive then to enjoy it he chided me he wasn’t alive during Vietnam War but liked Apocalypse Now.
Watched the French Connection there. Still a great watch. Perhaps if Popeye Doyle had worn a less conspicuous hat he might have been a better policeman.
That They May Face the Rising Sun is an excellent film.
I love MaGaherns books.Nice to hear it’s good.
@Raylan ?
What did I do?
